If there is one brand I have used since the very beginning of this blog it's Dr.PAWPAW so can you imagine my excitement when I discovered they were finally releasing a skincare range to go alongside their multi-award-winning balm?
I had a few of the products sent to me to try in May and I've been testing them out, swapping them around and seeing how I get on with them and I am finally ready to share some thoughts although it will be no surprise I am fully obsessed and not just because of the oh so cute packaging.
The new skincare range features six products in gorgeous pastel tubes making them perfect for storing and travelling as they take up barely any room. The key benefits of the skin products are to smooth, protect and hydrate the skin and I've really enjoyed getting to grips with it.
Probably my favourite product of the four that I have, the day cream is protective, fragrance-free and vegan with added SPF50 and PA++++. It is powered by their hero ingredient Papayaluronic which provides the nourishing and soothing effects of the papaya extract alongside hyaluronic acids which absorb into all five layers of the skin.
The fast-absorbing SPF melts into the skin quickly without leaving a white cast allowing makeup to sit on it beautifully for a flawless finish. Suitable for all skin types, skin is then left protected, restored and rejuvenated. With added Vitamin E to soften and nourish the skin, the skin barrier is also taken care of.
I've really enjoyed using this, with and without makeup as it sits on my skin well - my skin feels soft, nourished and protected, I'd order another in a heartbeat. I wasn't expecting to love it so much.
Eye cream, I am obsessed with trying new eye creams because this is one part of my face I'm quite aware of when it comes to ageing. This particular eye cream is a targeted, rejuvenating and lightweight vegan formula suitable for all skin types.
Powered once again by the brand's hero ingredient Papayaluronic, it provides the nourishing and soothing effects of the papaya extract alongside hyaluronic for instant and long-lasting hydration. Matched with retinol for age-renewal benefits, the skin is smoothed and firmed helping to prevent the first signs of fine lines and reducing the appearance of existing lines. The addition of Aloe Vera also means the delicate eye area is soothed and any risk of irritation is reduced.
This is a beautifully light formula and soaks into the eye area really well, I just smooth it on using my index finger. It's fragrance-free so it won't irritate the eyes either.
If you'd prefer a day cream without the SPF then the Hydrating Day Cream would be the perfect alternative for you. It's lightweight, fragrance-free and vegan with a highly effective hydrating formula that is suitable for all skin types.
Using the brand's hero ingredient Papayaluronic, it provides the nourishing and soothing effects of the papaya extract alongside hyaluronic acid for instant and long-lasting hydration. Suitable for use both in the day and at night - the superior hydration soaks into the skin absorbing quickly leaving super smooth and soft skin.
This has a really nice formula but I don't find myself reaching for it as much as I do the SPF Day Cream, I think this will be one I'd use more in the winter months.
The last product I've been trying is the Rejuvenating night cream loaded with hydrating ingredients and retinol. The cream is perfect for a nourishing, age-renewal, vegan night-time ritual. Expect your skin to be firmer and smoother, while fine lines appear reduced. It is super hydrating and infused with a calming chamomile aroma to aid a peaceful night's sleep.
Powered by their hero ingredient Papayaluronic, which provides the nourishing and soothing effects of the papaya extract, teamed with hyaluronic acids which absorb into all five layers of the skin for instant and long-lasting hydration, resulting in super soft skin. Retinol also enriches the formula and works by preventing and reducing the appearance of fine lines whilst you sleep, resulting in a smoother skin texture. Finally, Aloe Vera brings natural soothing and calming qualities as well as additional moisture.
It is the dream product to use at night time and I can't get enough of it - I recently had microneedling that also reduces fine lines and wrinkles so I've been using this alongside that treatment and I can really see the difference in my skin.
