(Press event with Princess Cruises - see disclaimer

On 12th May, Princess Cruises announced the arrival of their second sphere class ship, joining Sun Princess as the largest ship to be under the Princess Cruises' helm. Currently, under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, Star Princess weighs in at 175,500 tonnes, carrying 4,300 guests.

Debuting in the Mediterranean in August 2025, the new ship is built on a distinctly different and unique platform to Princess, designed to simultaneously embrace the heritage while celebrating the romance of the sea by offering more dynamic, outward views.

In the words of Princess Cruises,
"There's no sibling rivalry here. Sun Princess® can't wait to welcome her sister ship, Star Princess®"

Star Princess will feature the new Dome, out-of-this-world views in the Piazza, Signature Collection Suites as well as 1500 balconies, more than twenty-nine bars and restaurants and it'll be the brand's second ship to be powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG).
