The 30th of April saw P&O Cruises' newest ship Arvia host the UK premiere of Greatest Days, the Official Take That Musical by Tim Firth. Gary Barlow, who is P&O Cruises' music director, attended this special performance and held an introduction ahead of the show with Olly Smith, the cruise lines wine expert.
As a family-friendly Excel class ship, Arvia has something for everyone - as well as West End worthy entertainment, you'll find top-notch indoor activities like an immersive simulation escape room, Mission Control and over 900 square metres of luxury branded retail shopping at The Avenue. Outside you'll be amazed by Arvia's Altitude activity zone, complete with tropical-island-themed mini-golf, aqua zone Splash Valley and the cruise line's first ever-high-ropes experience, Sky Walk.
An adaption of the acclaimed West End musical The Band, it features the songs of Take That and a beautiful story by Olivier Award-Winning writer Tim Firth.
Greatest Days is a story about friendship and music with a focus on five 16-year-old girls in 1993 for whom Take That is everything. The show follows this group of girls as they reunite after 25 years apart and try to fulfil their dream of meeting the boy band whose music became the soundtrack to their lives. Greatest Days features the music of Take That, Britain's all-time most successful boy band, whose songs include Never Forget, Back for Good, A Million Love Songs, Greatest Day, The Flood, Relight My Fire, Shine and Rule the World.

The standing ovation at the end of the show was so well deserved, each of the performers on stage gave it their all and it was such a wonderful thing to experience. I felt every emotion going through the condensed theatre production and I hand on heart believe this is going to be loved by many audiences to come.
