If you're looking for an ultra colourful skincare brand with the lowest possible environmental footprint, let me introduce you to BYBI Beauty. They are pro-planet from seed to shelf and utilise low-carbon production throughout their entire supply chain.
Co-founders Elise and Dominika started out in their kitchens, meticulously crafting DIY beauty recipes with potent natural ingredients - BYBI was born in 2017 and they quickly became known for their efficacious, pro-planet formulas and standout eco packaging. They also created the world's first carbon-negative skincare product Glowcurrant Booster, a brightening facial oil, that captures more carbon than it emits. It's quite literally a game-changer.
I've used BYBI Beauty since discovering them in 2019 and I've really enjoyed exploring the brand and its products - my skin loves them, the ingredients are fab and I adore the packaging.
As BYBI Beauty is now a certified B Corporation meaning their entire environmental and social impact has been measured and verified to meet the highest standards of performance, transparency and accountability I thought it was the perfect time to share four of my favourite products.
BYBI Super Greens Purifying Face Mask (£20.00)
Super Greens is a powerful purifying face mask that works to restore a sense of balance across your complexion. It's brimming with powerful active ingredients that help to detoxify the surface of your skin, making it ideal for anyone with signs of stress. It delivers a generous dose of tender loving care while regulating the production of oil to promote a more natural-looking surface that can reduce the look of breakouts and blemishes - perfect those pesky time-of-the-month spots too!
Like a smoothie for your skin, Night Nutrition is a nutrient-rich formula that works while you sleep to repair, renew and strengthen skin so that you wake up to a pillow-soft healthy glowing complexion. Antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins, ceramides – Night Nutrition has it all
Broccoli seed oil, rich in vitamin A (nature's answer to retinol) and Omega-9 and Omega-3 fatty acids, work just like they do when eaten to nourish, soften and protect the skin while a softening combination of mango seed butter and oat kernel oil creates a creamy texture that is rich in lipids and ceramides, locking in moisture. It melts into the skin and I've noticed such a difference while using it.
I'm a big ol' fan of facial oils and always talk about the importance of having them in your routine so I was super eager to try this one and it didn't disappoint. The Strawberry Booster hydrating serum is 100% cold-pressed strawberry seed oil that's great for dry, flaky, or irritated skin as it absorbs quickly to boost moisture levels and soften sensitive skin.
Strawberry Booster is an intensely nourishing and hydrating serum but has a lightweight and fast-spreading texture, meaning it doesn't make your skin feel greasy or oily and is ideal for use both day and night. I prefer to use it at night and mix it with the Night Nutrition moisturiser as it is just what works best for me - skin feels soft and even looks nourishing to the eye each morning.
Anything that gives the illusion that my eyes aren't quite as tired and puffy as they actually are is a hit with me and the Eye Plump has been my secret weapon in recent months. The eye cream is a concentrated, active bakuchiol eye cream to smooth and firm the skin under the eye.
A combination of broccoli seed oil, hyaluronic acid, and bakuchiol, (a natural alternative to retinol), replenishes and regenerates whilst regulating the skin's moisture levels, visibly improving signs of lines, wrinkles, and uneven texture around the eyes. It has a really nice texture, applies well and doesn't feel tacky - a great all-rounder that really does the job.
There are a few other products I've tried over the years but these four are definitely my most reached for - the Milk Melt Cleanser and Day Defence are next on my to-try list.
