Beachwaver launched in the UK towards the end of last and has been hugely popular - female founded with a host of super knowledgable women at the helm, it is absolutely one to watch.
The hair tool is created by Sarah Potempa, an innovative hair stylist whose technical versatility and singular creative talent has made her high demand worldwide. After continually explaining the complex process to get natural waves to editors, she sat down and sketched the idea for the Beachwaver - you can see the original sketch on the website!
Sarah enlisted the help of her two sisters and a team of engineers and dedicated the next two years to research and development. The Beachwaver launched in 2012 and is now globally distributed.
The Beachwaver B1 in Glitter Pink (£119.00) is exactly what I needed to achieve easy beach curls - I hold my hands up and say I am absolutely useless at curling my hair but this has been a complete game-changer for me to use.
The curling iron has a 1" barrel width with an ergonomic handle - you just need to use the handy buttons that dual rotate the iron meaning you can create any curl you desire. There are three heat settings too, I prefer using medium heat and it creates a really nice finish that holds.
I tend to use an outwards curling action then hold for 10 seconds before releasing the iron and slowly pulling away, once all the hair is curled I just carefully brush it out. It makes date night hair so easy and I've even been able to add some definition to my hair before the school runs, it's that quick and easy to use!
