And just like that there's another new month and update - I don't even want to think about next month and Christmas, okay I tell a lie - I'm five Christmas films deep already! I feel like I've blinked and I'm back to Christmas shopping, mince pies and tinsel again. November went by so quickly, especially now we're in the thick of school runs every day and precious weekends as a family together.
We have truly tried to make the most of it though - we've baked, gone on long walks, and started planning for Christmas and I'm quite excited about what December might hold.
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
We started the month exploring Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with my parents and had such a wonderful time. The five-year-old had two weeks of half term this year so we chose the quieter week for our day out. We explore HMS Victory, spent ages looking at the Mary Rose (he hasn't stopped talking about it!) and ran around the decks of HMS Warrior. It was a fascinating day out and one we always enjoy, we've been visiting for years!
Delicious Food
What month doesn't involve delicious food? It has been food reviews galore once again and towards the end of the month, I tried Giggling Squid which has just opened in Winchester with a friend. Full of Thai tapas, fragrant curries and yummy desserts - we had the best time catching up!
Christmas Food Reviews
Okay... more food! I was able to take my mum with me this time as part of a Southampton Bloggers collaboration so off we went to Bella Italia for Christmas cocktails, festive pizza and delicious Nutella gnocchi. Bella Italia is such a great, budget-friendly spot for catching up with friends or family this Christmas!
Okay... More Food
The Christmas food try-a-thon started early with the M&S Christmas Yumnut. Okay so it did cost £2 and I syringed a bit more jam into it with a Calpol syringe because M&S really be scrimping on the fillings but other than that, pretty yummmmm.
Autumn Sunsets
And lastly... gorgeous Autumn skies really make this time of year. I always try and catch them with the five-year-old and we spend ages watching the colours change together. A memory I'll always hold dear.
