Having two young children has taken its toll on my eye area recently, so I've been searching for the 'one' to help me combat fine lines and puffy eyes. I recently discovered Crome-Pharma, an Austrian family wonder company based in Leobendorf, north of Vienna. The company specialises in the industrial production of hyaluronic acid syringes and is one of the world's leading experts in this field.
Since selling the ophthalmic and orthopaedic business in 2014, Croma now solely focuses on minimally aesthetic medicine offering a wide range of state-of-the-art products in minimally invasive aesthetic medicine as well as skincare which is where I come in.
I've been using one of the products over the last eight weeks - Farewell Puffy Eyes and I've been so intrigued to see how it would perform especially as it has a pretty hefty price tag.
The Croma Farewell Puffy Eyes (£109) serum has been specifically created to target puffy eyes and dark circles caused by tiredness and stress. Housed in a dark glass bottle, the pipette allows you to dispense the perfect amount of product (three drops) morning and night. Containing ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, D-Panthenol, Ash tree bark extract, organic silicon and Vitamin B3 - the wonder serum hydrates, enhances radiance and plumps the skin.
There is good reason for the increased popularity of hyaluronic acid, it is a substance found in the body, in our joints and blood vessels but it is mostly found in the skin. Its greatest strength is attracting and binding water for skin hydration with a single gram of hyaluronic acid holding up to six litres of water. It plays an important role in maintaining skin elasticity and wound healing while also regulating and binding moisture in the cells. It ensures skin is supple, and resilient and gives it a youthful glow. As we age, the cell renewal process in our body slows down, and collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid levels also decrease. As a result, ageing skin not only produces less hyaluronic acid but also slowly loses its stores, making the skin less able to retain moisture.
From Croma Skincare
Suitable for the delicate eye area, the formula feels ultra-light and is a total dream to use on the skin.
I can sometimes be a bit dubious about products like this that can be quite adamant in the way that they work but over the last eight weeks I've really noticed a difference. As I approach my mid-thirties I've really noticed my eye area looking 'older' and while I don't have instant results, I have certainly noticed a difference. I imagine after a few more months that will become even more apparent but so far, I really like the product.
The Croma farewell target-specific face serums consists of five unique face serums, based on Hyaluronic Acid and carefully selected ingredients to target five of the most common skin conditions so if puffy eyes aren't your concern, there's another targeted serum for you.
The products are available to buy direct from Croma - it's a great website to explore especially if you're interested in skincare like me.
