I adore Spring for so many reasons but one, in particular, is the numerous new beauty launches and while some of what I'll be showing you today isn't brand new, it's new to me and I can't wait to share more. Being able to work from home has given me the chance to really go through what I'm using on my skin, swap out some products for some new releases and of course, give everything in this post a test run before I can give you the lowdown.
It's all skincare pieces, all of which are available to order online now.
I'm a huge fan of SOS Serum and use their SPF Lotion daily so when this landed in my hands, I used it straight away. SOS Lip is a deeply nourishing and mattifying lip balm with broad-spectrum SPF 30, that helps to moisturise and protect lips against the harsh effects of the cold, wind and sun. Featuring a unique blend of botanical extracts including Pisum Sativum (Pea Extract) & Viscum Album Leaf (Mistletoe Extract) the balm delivers lasting hydration whilst helping to repair & soothe damaged skin.
The pump-action tube makes it super hygienic to use and its slim design means it takes up no space at all in your makeup bag or beauty drawers. Such a great addition to the SOS Skincare range.
Nivea recently launched at Just My Look and they have a huge selection of products available at really great prices. They were kind enough to send across a box of Nivea goodies to celebrate their launch and inside were three of the new Nivea Cleansing Balms. Each of the bars is plastic-free, certified natural with 99% natural in origin. The refreshing cleansing bar formula is soap-free and optimised to your skin's pH level so that it gently cleanses the skin, leaving it soft to the touch. With three available, they're such a great way to introduce plastic-free cleansing to your routine.
- Nivea MagicBar Exfoliating Charcoal - natural pore cleanser, enriched with active Charcoal
- Nivea MagicBar - natural pore cleanser enriched with Rose Extract and Vitamin E
- Nivea MagicBar - Refreshing Almond Oil Face Cleansing Bar combines Almond Oil and Blueberry
Wake has been kicking around for a few years now and I've dabbled in their products previously and really liked the eye gel so with the face mask now in my hands I thought I'd share an update. They're a start-up brand that aims to be there for generation connected, the ones that are attached to their phones or stuck in front of a screen. They're about natural skincare with less packaging designed to battle dark circles and keep our skin feeling fabulous.
The first thing that drew me in was the understated packaging, I love how minimalistic and sleek it is and with just four products available, the work has really gone into fine-tuning them.
The Wake Skincare Face Cream (£24.98) targets fine lines, helps reduce blemishes and has a gorgeously light texture that seems to melt into skin. It's simple but effective and it's been great as a day cream recently. The second product is the Wake Skincare Eye Gel (£22.98) which has been in my top spot for a while as it's so soothing on the eyes. The light gel helps to combat dark circles, hydrates the eye area and contains vitamins and antioxidants to help reduce the signs of ageing.
Lastly, the Wake Skincare Face Mask (£19.99) is perfect if you're looking for a radiant glow. The Australian Pink Clay Mask is designed to prevent breakouts, reduce acne, brighten dull skin and give your complexion a smoother appearance. I love clay masks but they can be quite drying, thankfully I haven't found that with this one and a little goes a long way.
At the beginning of the year, Nourish London launched targeted skincare kits designed to help with a range of skin concerns, including acne & blemish-prone, dry & mature, rosacea and sensitive skin. I had the Sensitive Skincare Collection (£65.00) arrive which includes a relaxing trio of Nourish London's products such as the Skin Renew Cleanser (100ml), Relax Hydrating Peptide Serum (30ml) and Relax Calming Moisturiser (50ml) - three calming skincare solutions that have each been specially selected to help soothe skin prone to sensitivity.
It's such a great way to get to know the brand.
Another exciting product they've recently launched is the Skin Protecting Daily Moisturiser with SPF 25 (£28.00). The organic and vegan, anti-ageing moisturiser with natural mineral SPF non-nano zinc oxide protects the skin from daily pollution and environmental damage. It's packed with a blend of powerful antioxidants, including Turmeric, Bisabolol and Tocopherol while ceramide rich Argan, Kale, Pumpkin Seed Oil and Rose of Jericho protect the lipid layer, firm and smooth the skin. It has such a lovely, smooth texture - I've really enjoyed using it. It's even safe to use on babies!
I couldn't make an event with Image recently, so they sent me a couple of the Vital-C products (my fave range) and I just had to share them with you. First up we have the Vital C Hydrating Water Burst (£51.00) which is a lightweight transformational gel texture formulated to burst into intense hydration. Upon application, it releases a flood of antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, vitamins and anti-ageing peptides to provide a youthful, brighter, healthier-looking complexion. The salon I go to uses Image Skincare and this is always used within my treatments, I adore the product.
Next up is the Vital C Hydrating Enzyme Masque (£47.00), another firm fave! The skin resurfacing agent is ideal to tackle redness and rosacea-prone skin. The masque utilises natural enzymatic exfoliants to gently dissolve the build-up of dead skin cells that dull the surface of the skin while also infusing skin with protective antioxidants and vitamins that nourish and promote a healthy-looking complexion. Vital C is such a great range to get started with if you're new to Image Skincare.
