I have a lot of love for Ole Henriksen - the brand outlook is inspiring, the zest for their products is unbeatable and having spent a virtual evening with Ole Henriksen himself last year I couldn't wait to share more.
With an effervescent optimism for life that allows you to glow from the inside out, the Ole Henriksen skincare collection is built on a product philosophy of exfoliate, treat and soothe, which originated in Ole's Beverly Hills spa helping to bring transformative results to clients all over the world.
Each product in the line from easy daily regimens to professional-strength systems combines powerful actives, natural botanicals and essential fatty acids which are then colour-coded making it super easy to decide on what range would be best for your skin.
In this post, I'll be focusing on the Ole Henriksen Truth Collection, arguably my favourite from the brand to help brighten, firm and awaken the skin.
Truth Juice Daily Cleanser (£25.00)
Starting the day with a great cleanser is paramount to your daily skincare routine and the Truth Juice Daily Cleanser is such a fab product to reach for. The multi-tasking everyday cleanser is made with orange fruit water and PHAs which help to refresh and energise skin in just one step. If you have sensitive skin, then this is a great option for you as PHAs are much gentler on the skin while still helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The gel/creme like texture creates such a silky lather that smooths into the skin as it rinses it of any dirt and grim. It's not too over-powering but I find the intoxicating orange scent really invigorates my mornings. A little goes a long way, you can't go wrong with this cleanser.
The award-winning bright eye cream is inspired once again, by the must-have banana powder! The collagen boosted eye product helps to firm, hydrate and brighten as well as helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Formulated with Vitamin C, the entire eye area becomes much more illuminated, dark circles are diminished and your complexion just looks more radiate.
As an eye cream, it's in my top five for making me look much more awake than I usually am.
The perfect companion to the eye cream, this orange pot of goodness gives skin a burst of hydration, instantly illuminating skin and banishing dullness. The peachy-tinted cream has a gel-like consistency and delivers an almost cooling effect to skin - I adore using this in the summer months, especially if I pop it in the fridge for a little while on those extra warm days.
The cream is powered by a unique combination of Vitamin C - Ascorbic Acid which is pure vitamin C, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid and Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate which are two light-and-air stable vitamin C derivatives known for their antioxidant properties. Together, this helps to deliver proven age-fighting benefits. If you want to give winter dullness the boot, this is excellent!
Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum (£56.00)
The last product is another I've used for some time and adore, it is pricey - and the price increase has upset a lot of people but I can't help but love it because the results are fab! The Vitamin C serum combines three of the ultimate Ole Glow® icons - vitamin C, exfoliating acids and banana powder-inspired pigments to instantly brighten and help defend skin against pollution. Oh and don't forget a touch of hyaluronic acid to help plump skin and help with moisture.
It's super easy to apply, sinks into skin like a dream and has a gorgeous citrus scent - there is an instant brightening effect, awakening skin in a matter of minutes.
Skin is left brighter and dewier, it's a brilliant serum.
As mentioned above, there are four key collections within the Ole Henriksen brand, if you head to the website or your nearest Boots you'll be able to see what collection will be best suited for your skin.
I use a mix of products from the brand, the Ole Henriksen Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner is another favourite of mine and I like to use different items from each collection depending on what my skin is doing at that time.
