Five New In Pieces on My Beauty Shelves

(Features press samples & affiliate links - see disclaimer)

With a new month comes another new in beauty edition and boy do I have some fabulous products for you! As winter approaches, the products I reach for change and they become so much more intensive and hydrating for the skin so with that in mind I've whipped up this post to give you a closer look into what I'm using right now.

There seems to be a soothing and hydration theme this month which is perfect as we approach the colder weather, don't you think?

Let's have a look...

I find my lips get much drier in the colder months so something super nourishing like a lip oil is a great product to reach for, especially at night. The Soothing Lip Oil from Aroma Active combines aromatherapy benefits as well as a powerful active complex of shea butter, calendula and jojoba oils to soothe, nourish and protect. I use the lip oil as part of my night-time skincare routine and I find the uplifting scent of Neroli really calms me before bed. It's a fab little product and it's fully recyclable.

I completely forgot how achey you can get after repetitive feeding and rocking a baby to sleep so this brand new product from Nourish London couldn't have come at a better time. The revitalising bath and shower gel has been specially formulated with soothing Epsom salts and pure essential oils of lemon, pine, juniper and lavender to revive aching muscles and give you a little boost when you're feeling tired.

I've found a little goes a long way and it feels so nourishing as it glides over the skin - it makes such a difference to my shoulders and I've only been using it a few days. Nourish London skincare formulations are 100% vegan, made with natural organic ingredients, ethanol-free & cruelty-free so they're a really great brand to check out.

If there is one product you need this winter, it's this! Infused with shea butter, this pot of joy helps to heal and hydrate the skin, transforming it from dry and flaky to something softer and smoother. The ultra moisturising formula is enriched with Eucalyptus and Oatmeal that helps to reduce and calm inflammation, targets any irritating bacteria and keeps the skin's surface safe.

I expected this to be quite thick and hard to use but it's the total opposite - it's light, soaks into the skin easily and doesn't feel heavy once applied. As an added bonus the formula works to reinforce the skin's precious moisture seal, locking in hydration. I've been using this on my face, hands, body and also my son's face where he has a dry patch at the moment and the result has been really great, it does exactly what it promises.

I'm a big fan and I love that you can buy different sizes - will definitely try more of the range too!

There's a new product from Ark Skincare and if you love face masks, you're going to love this. The Detoxifying Clay Masque is a super luxurious dual clay formula containing a multivitamin blend and an innovative anti-pollution complex. It has been formulated to target inflammation and blemishes, drawing impurities and lifting away any yuckiness. It is the softest clay mask I've used in a long time and it's surprisingly non-drying.

Ark Skincare's Pollustop® loosens adhered pollution particles, so they are rinsed away when the masque is rinsed off while Kaolin and Bentonite Clays work together to absorb excess oils and draw out further impurities to purify the skin. White Tea acts as a powerful antioxidant and astringent and together with the added Wild Water Mint tightens skin. Vitamin A works as a free radical scavenger, Vitamin C brightens skin and finally, Vitamin E is a natural skin conditioner and antioxidant.

After each use, it leaves my skin super soft, clear and much smoother - definitely one for you to try if you're prone to breakouts.

Skingredients Skin Veg (£49.00)
It's safe to say the pregnancy glow has been replaced with tired eyes but oh my this is reviving my skin again. The antioxidant-rich combination of hyaluronic acid, polyhydroxy acid, pro-collagen peptides, fruit, veg and botanical extracts is the multi-tasking serum I needed! It works by creating brighter looking skin and reducing the appearance of lines while being surprisingly gentle on the skin.

I hadn't used Skingredients before but having looked into the brand more I can't wait to get my hands on Skin Protein next, another of the key formulas available. I find the way Skingredients focus on four key formulas super interesting and the way my skin has lapped up Skin Veg has been quite amazing to see - it has made such a difference!

Created by dermal facialist and skin nerd Jennifer Rock, Skingredients offers a vegan and fragrance-free capsule collection of four core formulas to feed and nourish skin with its equivalent of a balanced dinner plate - swapping the carbs and veg for topical probiotics, vitamins, good fats and proteins. A healthy diet that everyone needs, these four formulas are then supplemented by the brand’s Match + Mix range, which boasts targeted formulas for varying skin care concerns - fab right?!

I'll probably share a separate post on this at some point in the near future because it needs its own spotlight.

You can shop each of the products within this post above - just let me know what takes your fancy the most!
