While beauty advent calendars have been my focus for the last few weeks, I couldn't let this time pass by without sharing some foodie calendars too. I'm a big foodie at heart so there's always a chocolate calendar for each of us and a Moo Free Dairy Free special for the four-year-old, little E may get her first one next year, we shall see!
In this post I'll be showing you a chocolate one with a heart from my favourite chocolate brand, another you'll enjoy if you love an 11am snack and a deliciously sweet biscuit calendar that will go straight into the hands of my grandmother who is very excited.
This year sees the first-ever Tony's Christmas calendar and oh my was I excited! Behind every door is a tiny Tony chocolate from their rainbow of flavours - all individually packed Belgian Fairtrade dark, dark milk, milk and white chocolate with almond, hazelnut, nougat, sea salt, caramel, pretzel, freeze-dried raspberry, popping sugar.
As some will know, Tony's are crazy about chocolate and serious about people so you'll also find some fun, and not so fun, facts about the chocolate industry as you count down. Their vision is 100% slave-free chocolate. Not just their chocolate, but all chocolate worldwide and the more people who choose slave free and share their story, the sooner 100% slave-free chocolate becomes the norm.
Christmas with a conscience!
Love a snack? This one is for YOU! The Shots Christmas Advent Calendar comes with 24 doors full of a combination of Shots in flavours such as Chocolate and Hazelnut. Fruity Biscuit, Berry and White Chocolate, Toffee Pecan. Raisin and Chocolate and Orange and Chocolate.
I love grabbing a pack of these to pop in my bag while I'm out and about so I'm certainly making the most of this one. I think it's such a great alternative to your traditional chocolate advent.
Is there anything better at Christmas than deliciously sweet shortbread? This is our second year with the Walkers Shortbread Advent Calendar much to my grandmother's delight as it's her favourite. The calendar provides shortbread fans with a daily bite-sized treat in the lead up to Christmas.
Behind each door, you'll find a selection of Walker's most loved shortbread from Pure Butter Shortbread Fingers to Salted Caramel Shortbread Squares and even my favourite, their Mini Choc Chip Shortbread making it a perfectly indulgent treat.
Are you hoping for a foodie advent calendar this year? Which one takes your fancy?
