Antipodes Worship Skin Defence Serum

Antipodes is a brand that has permanently been in my beauty drawers for one reason or another. Their face masks are brilliant, the hand creams ideal for keeping skin smooth and the Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream is hands down the best eye cream I've ever used so I'm always game for exploring more of the brand.

If you're new to the brand lemme tell you a little more: Antipodes is a scientific green beauty company from New Zealand specialising in award-winning plant-powered vegan beauty driven by native ingredients. The companies founder and CEO Elizabeth Barbalich has a background in science and innovation and it's something I adore about the brand, especially after spending some time with them a few years ago for an intimate afternoon tea to explore the ethos, products and ingredients.

"For 15 years, Antipodes has said no to toxins in our products: we’ve never compromised on our clean formulations and sustainability has been our baseline since day one. Thanks to 100% naturally sourced ingredients, independent third-party audits of our credentials and sophisticated formulations that meet the needs of women seeking actual results from natural skincare, our products are continually elevated above this standard"

I've been reaching for the Antipodes Worship Skin Defence Serum (£35.00) since the beginning of the year so it was about time I shared a little bit more about this little glass bottle of skincare goodness. The premium vegan serum is a fab little product that aims to fortify your skin against environmental stressors that can lead to your skin showing the early signs of ageing.

The antioxidant-rich formula features New Zealand grown superfruits such as Vinanza® Grape which aids elasticity and firmness, Wild Blackcurrant which is rich in Vitamin C to shield the skin from environmental aggressors and finally Coffee Berry & Açaí to boast anti-ageing properties that work to soften the look of wrinkles.

It's the perfect accompaniment for skin if you're used to urban living as the concentrated serum targets signs of ageing created by your environment and instead it strives to create a smooth, youthful illusion.

The refreshing serum might look a little offputting at first - I was surprised it wasn't clear but it blends into the skin so seamlessly you needn't worry. I aim to use it morning and night before I follow up with my moisturiser - just fill the pipette and add a couple of drops to the palm of your hand before gently rubbing it into your skin with your fingertips. I find it quite refreshing to use and although suitable for all skin types, it does work best for those with oily skin.

This particular type of serum is a fresh concept for me and it's not like anything I've used before but I really enjoy using it and it smells so beautiful. I find on my skin in particular this works really well to disguise any redness I occasionally suffer with and I've really noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin, especially around my cheeks and chin.

As with most skincare, you don't see results straight away and this took some time but once I did, I really noticed the difference - my skin just looks so much brighter and happier and I really needed that boost.

I've been happily impressed with Worship Serum - it's definitely worshipping my skin right now and the results have been more than worth it. The pipette dispenser bottle has also meant it is so economical to use and I don't waste any product!

Antipodes is a brand you need to have on your radar and I'm so looking forward to exploring even more of the brand for myself too.
