We're a year into this staying at home thing which has meant most of our preschool learning has been done from our living room and we've relied on Orchard Toys a lot during this time. I've spoken previously about our love for the brand when finding The Best Orchard Toy Games for your Two Year Old and so with some newer editions finding their way into our favourites it seemed fitting to share an update on what we have been playing with.
We love spending time with Joshua reading, drawing and painting and discovering Orchard Toys has meant we could include more educational games and puzzles. You can search for their products by age which I've always found so helpful in the past too.
I have three of their newer products to show you that are perfect for at home or as gifts for children's parties - we've had so much fun with them recently.
First Farm Friends (£8.75)
We're huge puzzle lovers and it's something I love sitting with Joshua and doing so First Farm Friends is a firm fave. It's ideal from ages 2+ so the perfect introduction to puzzles. The jigsaw has been carefully designed to support the development of key childhood skills such as hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
It's a super chunky floor puzzle featuring two twelve-piece puzzles with some of our farm favourites on. This has given hours of fun and once the puzzle is made, it's a great way to teach new words by getting Joshua to point out everything he sees on the puzzles.
The chunky pieces also wipe clean which is a dream with sticky toddler hands.
Unicorn Jewels (£5.35)
This one is fun for everyone and is one of Orchard Toys Mini Games making it fab for gifts or for when travelling. The aim of the game is to collect the most gems in your unicorn chest - just spin the spinner and choose a matching Sun, Moon or Star, guess the number of gems and if you're correct you can pop them in your chest but if you're wrong, you'll have to put them back!
Joshua gets really into this one and it's a great way to encourage colour recognition and counting skills.
Penalty Shoot Out (£5.35)
Another one of their mini-games, Penalty Shoot Out is super simple, fun and perfect for little ones. The aim of the game is to roll the dice and match the spots to the number on the football shirt. The football-themed game is perfect for developing counting skills, matching and memory work and most importantly it's just fun to play together.
We really love their mini-games and there are SO many to choose from - Penguin Pairs is a great one too.
There are a whole host of excellent puzzles, games and more available from one year right up until eight years from Orchard Toys. It's a brand I know we'll be shopping with for many years to come. They're just fun, educational and they make great gifts too!
