Matte Lips & Ombre Shadows from Clarins for Autumn 2020

(Features press samples - see disclaimer)

Ah Autumn... It's my favourite time for new beauty releases and as always Clarins have nailed it. I've been a long time lover of the brand and a lot of my makeup is from Clarins so there are an abundance of reviews on Alice Anne if you hit the search bar on the right but today we'll be talking matte lips and ombre eyeshadows thanks to their latest product drop.

I don't know about you but my eyes are always what I take the most care of when it comes to makeup and I know exactly what I need to use to make them pop so the all-new Ombre 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette (£34.00) made me rub my hands together with glee.

I love big eyeshadow palettes but I never get the most out of them so something like this is perfect for me and each of the compacts come in complementary tones formulated with ingredients that care for the eye area.

There are six new eyeshadow palettes to choose from which include four shades in a handy little compact with integrated mirror and brush. There is also a handy guide included to tell you where to put each shade for the ultimate eye look. The 2-in-1 formula combines finely milled pigment with naturally priming bamboo powder for an even and long-lasting finish without the need for a base.

I'm a sucker for browns and golds so Brown Sugar Gradation is my perfect compact - there's a gorgeous matte shade that works well on its own or as a base for the rest of the shades which are all beautiful shimmers. The shades are long-lasting, deliver an intense hit of colour and you can get multiple looks.

I'm already tempted by Fairytale Nude Gradation and Flame Gradation.

The Velvet Lip Perfectors (£18.50) are definitely something to shout about this Autumn! The iconic lip products have had an overhaul welcoming four all-new velvet matte shades. I've always been a big fan of the traditional Lip Perfectors so to have a matte version makes me very happy - I adore a matte lip.

The soft, creamy and super light texture has a subtle blurring effect upon application and the precision tip makes it easy to apply on the go - they're a complete dream to use. The formula is non-sticky and lightweight so it feels like there's nothing there and as it's enriched with shea butter and mango, each swipe is like an instant moisture boost for lips.

The four new shades are Velvet Nude, Velvet Rosewood, Velvet Red and Velvet Raspberry so I'm sure there's one you'll fall in love with. Velvet Nude hasn't left my handbag since I've had it so if you see me wearing a lip shade, it'll be that - it's definitely my favourite out of the four with Velvet Rosewood coming a close second.

All of the products are available to shop now via www.clarins.co.uk or from counters from today.

What piques your interest the most? I'm definitely going to have to get my hands on more of the ombre palettes.
