The Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette

If there's one brand I always look out for when it comes to new beauty releases, it's Urban Decay. The Urban Decay Naked Honey palette was released in 2019 but after putting a self-imposed beauty spending ban on myself, I held off purchasing the gold encased palette of dreams. Fast forward to Christmas morning and I opened up my very own from my sister and I couldn't wait to try it out.

The Naked collection by Urban Decay is the most well-loved collection of makeup palettes available with the first three in the collection gaining cult classic status. Naked 3 is still one of my all-time favourite palettes but with the release of Honey, it's hot on its tail of taking the hot spot for me.

Retailing at £43.00, the honey inspired palette features 12-neutral shades and a double-ended eyeshadow brush. Chock full of warm golds, ambers, and rich browns, this seductive set of shadows is perfect for creating day-to-night looks. It has a pop of bright gold, for a funky fun look, and shimmery bronze shades for a sultry evening eye. Whatever you want to create can be easily done thanks to this little beauty.

The outer packaging is a hard plastic, so great for travelling plus it features that all-important large mirror inside. Unlike the Naked OG and Naked Reloaded Palettes, which can be folded in half, this one has a hinge that doesn’t allow that, think Naked Heat and Naked Cherry. The double-ended brush is great quality as always, featuring a tapered blending brush and a domed shader brush. Both sides are great for crease work and blending, I've always found the brushes inside Naked palettes to be brilliant and they're always a little bit different to the last so you build up a great little collection.

All Urban Decay eye shadows feature the legendary pigment infusion system which gives each shade a velvety texture, rich colour, incredible staying power and blend-ability which is why I use Urban Decay shadows allllll the time. They're just my favourite. You'll see from the swatches below just how incredible the colour pay-off is.

The metallic shades apply best with fingers, but that's true of most metallics on the market. The mattes are creamy and easy to work with and take little effort to build in the crease. You’ll have to be careful not to over blend though, as they can fade with too much brushwork.

My favourites are the shimmers as always, they're not overly shimmery - they're just luminous, smooth and so pretty all over the lid. Urban Decay really hits it out of the park with their shimmer formula. They look and perform more like a satin, with just a hint more sparkle which makes reaching for this most days a dream.

For those that love warm neutrals such as myself, this palette was designed for us! It's not a fancy palette, it's just wearable and brilliant for everyday looks. If you're still on the fence, visit your nearest boutique because the swatches in person speak for themselves. I've really got my use out of this over the last few months - it really is beautiful!

The Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette (£43.00) is available to buy now online and in stores, it's the perfect pick me up!
