If I could only choose one skincare brand to stay loyal to, it would be Decleor. My little Decleor love affair started in 2014 and I haven't looked back. From skincare to body care and everything in between, I've tried it all and more often than not loved what I've used.
Towards the end of 2019, Decleor released a brand new serum - Antidote Hyaluronic Acid Serum (£49.99) is your 97% natural origin product for smooth and glowing skin with Hyaluronic Acid. It strengthens the skin's barrier and protects it from daily aggressions, such as pollution and it's my new secret weapon.
I've been using the serum for the best part of four months now so I feel like I'm more than equipped enough to tell you what I really think.
After cleansing in the morning, I apply two drops to the palm of my hands, rub lightly and then apply to skin in upwards motions. The super-light texture feels fresh on the skin and soaks in beautifully leaving a soft and subtle base.
It helps to moisturise, firm and improve skin tone while leaving skin refined and ready for the day ahead. I follow this up with a day time moisturiser before primer and my makeup which I find applies so much better when using the serum.
The patented formula combines a powerful blend of peppermint, sandalwood and patchouli essential oils which is one of my favourite things about Decleor. I really love the use of essential oils in skincare and Decleor do it so well.
The first week or so of using this, I wasn't really sure if I liked it. I think it was just the change in what I was using and the drop in temperature. It wasn't until almost four weeks of use that I started to notice a change in my skin.
My skin tone looked calmer, the texture was smoother and my skin just looked less dull which was a major plus for me, the dreary winter weather tends to make its mark on my skin.
I'm a good halfway through my bottle now and it has firmly found its place within my morning skincare routine, I'm really intrigued to see how it holds up in the summer as I usually have to do a complete change on my skincare when it gets warmer but for the moment, it isn't going anywhere.
The Antidote Serum is available to buy now on counters and online for £49.99 and it is totally worth every penny.
