In previous years, I've always loved to get out on the high street and finish my Christmas shopping. I adored the festivities, the coffee shop break for a hot chocolate and soaking up the twinkling lights but with a two-year-old in tow, it's just not worth the inevitable stress that will incur this year.
So I've joined the masses and shopped online and ya know what? It hasn't been that bad especially with our own Christmas tree twinkling in the background and a hot chocolate by my side. Moonpig has been my go-to for a lot of gifts this year, I've been totally impressed with the variety available and I've managed to pick up some corkers so I'm going to share eight items to pop in your basket from Moonpig this Christmas.
Montezuma's Gentleman's Chocolate Hamper - £18.00
Men are notoriously hard to buy for so something like the Montezuma hamper is brilliant. The hamper includes a big bar of chocolate, a bag of chocolate buttons and a chocolate lager in a fab presentation box. I love Montezuma chocolate and there's a great selection to choose from on Moonpig.
Choc on Choc Chocolate Reindeer - £8.00
If you're looking for something sweet for children, Choc on Choc has some great choices. I love the Chocolate Reindeer that comes with handcrafted carrots. It's perfect for little one's stockings.
Festive Mug & Candles - £30.00
You can't beat a mug and candle gift set and this one is beautiful! It features a gorgeous festive mug with a goose illustration and a Lily Flame (my fave!) candle called Silent Night which has a subtle sweet scent. Moonpig sells a number of Lily Flame candles so it's a great place to pick them up.
Adopt an Animal - £20.00
I've always thought adopting an animal would make a great gift! I adopted a penguin a few years ago and received quarterly updates to find out about the great work they were doing so if there is an animal lover in your life - this would make the perfect gift!
Sipsmith Gin Truffles & Gin - £25.00
If I could drink only one gin for the rest of my life, it would be Sipsmith so this fabulous set is my perfect gift... to myself. It includes a box of Charbonnel chocolates which are super fancy and oh so tasty. Made with Sipsmith London Dry Gin, the dark chocolate truffles have a white chocolate cream and natural Juniper centre - yummy right?!
Trivial Pursuit F.R.I.E.N.D.S Edition - £15.00
There's nothing quite like a few games over the festive season and Trivial Pursuit is a classic and as a Friends fan, I couldn't resist this edition. It's the perfect way to test your knowledge of all things Friends at Christmas. There's always time for the Holiday Armadillo!
Godiva Chocolate Domes & Moët Gift Set - £22.00
Treat the special person in your life with this tasty set featuring Godiva Domes that are deliciously smooth and have a surprisingly crisp nut centre and a chilled bottle of Moët. Christmas has never looked so good!
Personalised Merry Christmas Sack - £18.00
You're going to need something to store all those presents in so why not order a personalised sack from Moonpig? They sent my very own so I've also ordered one for Arran too. It's made from natural cotton and finished with Rudolph red drawstring with space for you to personalise with any name you want.
I can't wait to put our matching stockings out this Christmas.
