Glossier Lash Slick - The mascara I've been waiting for

One of my all-time favourite mascaras was the Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara which retailed around the £7 mark and was unfortunately discontinued a year or so ago. The reason I loved the mascara so much was because the wand separated every single lash perfectly, the formula didn't flake or smudge and it would last all day.

I used it daily and when I found out the brand was being discontinued by Boots, I bulk bought the mascara to last me at least two years so I had a good amount of time to find a replacement. I'm now on my final tube of Falsifeye and I've only gone and found the perfect mascara to replace it thanks to Glossier!

You could say I'm quite pleased with myself.

I finally succumbed to pressure and made my very first Glossier order and now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long because so far, I've loved everything. I was trying to bulk my order out to free shipping so I googled what the top-rated products were and Lash Slick came up time and time again and once I saw that all too familiar brush, I had to have it.

It sounded like my prayers had been answered.

My order arrived in a matter of days and I couldn't wait to try it out. I still had a tube of Falsifeye so I compared the brushes and formula and they were really similar. Lash Slick (£14.00) is a film form mascara that promises to lengthen and curl lashes, doesn't flake or smudge and lasts all day! It's marketed as the perfect everyday mascara and that it is. I didn't want something volumising or over the top, I wanted something to enhance what I already had with my natural lashes and this did just that.

The comb wand helps coat lash from root to tip, the teeny fibres give a subtle extension to lashes while the flexible film-forming polymers lift and lock each fibre into place. It completely blew me away and did exactly what I wanted in a mascara. I've worn it daily for around two weeks now and it hasn't flaked, smudge or come away and the formula isn't really wet which is something I hate about some mascaras. I've been really impressed and my lashes look great and just how I like them.

At the end of the day, I just use my usual cleanser and warm water to soak the mascara away and my lashes are left clean and bare in no time at all. It's such a brilliant formula and after 248 formulations to perfect it, you'd hope so too.

I honestly think I've found my new favourite mascara, I've tried others over the last couple of years but none of them have matched up to what I was exactly looking for until this.

I hope they never discontinue Lash Slick because I will buy this for the rest of my life.

What mascara has changed your lash life? Have you tried Lash Slick yet?
