Taking care of your skin as you're getting older is something I've really made the effort with in recent years. My mother always installed the importance of it within me as I was growing up so I have quite a collection of magic lotions and potions to keep my skin smooth and plump.  

One thing I rely on the most are facial oils and it's something I have spoken about a lot on my blog and social media and I owe getting my oily skin under control to them too. 

What I've Been Reading through March

My reading pile has come to a complete standstill while we pack and get ready to move. I haven't picked up a book in two weeks which feels so weird even though I've kept two out to read. I'm feeling really overwhelmed at the moment so I can't seem to throw myself into another book which I am hoping changes once we've moved and we're settled again. Although saying that, I am only eight books off my reading challenge for 2019 which is pretty good going. 

Suede Orris, The All New Fragrance from Molton Brown

I'm a big ol' fan of Molton Brown as many of you know so I had to share a little something on their latest fragrance launch because you are going to love it! A few weeks ago Molton Brown launched Suede Orris in a suave wave of pink perfect for Spring and it is beautiful. 

I haven't stopped spritzing myself with it since it landed in my beauty loving hands. 

YSL Masterclass with Frederic Letailleur

Yves Saint Laurent is a brand I haven't really explored when it comes to beauty, I've heard such great things about certain products and loved samples I've tried in the past but I never went back. One thing I have attended over the years have been makeup masterclasses in department stores to get to know products more so that's what I did last week when Frederic Letailleur, YSL Beauty's European makeup artist came to John Lewis Southampton. 

Most beauty brands hold masterclasses like this regularly so if there is a brand you're unsure of and want to know more about always check at the counter for when they're holding their next one. I was invited in by Lauren Scriven, a makeup artist on the Yves Saint Laurent counter and I'm so glad she reached out because I've fallen a little in love with YSL.

What I've Been Reading through February

I have been whizzing through my reading challenge this year and it is making such a difference to the way I feel. Reading has always been my go-to when I need to switch off but as life became busier, my love of reading fell further and further down my list of things to make time for. When the start of 2019 rolled around, it seemed like the perfect time to take back my love of reading and make some time so that's exactly what I did. I'm now nineteen books down and reading more really has made a difference. 

I shared a post on What I've Been Reading in January so I thought why not make this into a little mini-series where I update you on the books I've read throughout the year in a variety of different posts. I get a number of messages on Instagram about what I'm reading so having a place to direct people to seemed logical.

Today's post is on the last five books I've read, one or two I've been sent, some are charity book finds and another is one I've been meaning to read for ages.

Mother's Day has always been a special occasion for my sister and I, being given the chance to spoil our mum that little bit more than we already do and on a dedicated day is something we cherish and we always try and make a big thing of it every year.
