Joshua's Dairy Allergy One Year On

It's been just over a year since we discovered Joshua's allergy and I thought it would be the perfect time to share how things are now and what we've learned so far. The first and only post I have shared on his allergy is Why Our Three Month Old has Soya Milk because we had quite a number of messages and unwanted advice when we switched Joshua to SMA Wysoy. I won't go into it too much here because it's all in that first post but the guidelines are not to give soya formula for babies under six months BUT if you do your research, read enough medical studies and make an informed decision for yourself and your child, there really isn't that much of a concern to be had. You can buy it from supermarkets, it's suitable from birth and I believe if there really were severe health implications, you wouldn't be able to shop it so easily.

Also, if we were raising Joshua vegan, no one would've said shit to us.

Three Gorgeous Revlon Ultra HD Matte Shades

I've raved about Revlon lip products on my blog for yonks! I really do think they stock the best range of lip products on the high street at an amazing price so they are always my first port of call. The matte lip balms are my fave but I also have a strong love for the Revlon Ultra HD Matte lip shades.

Matte formula? Me? Of course I'm a fan!

There are two formulas available, metallic matte and matte. I have tried the metallic ones in the past and although I like them, I like a really matte finish more so I've added some more of those to the ol' lip drawer.

The Full Monty at Mayflower Theatre

I've been a firm fan of The Full Monty for years, it's one of my favourite films and is always guaranteed to make me laugh so when I discovered there was going to be a theatre production, I was ready and waiting in the wings! The Full Monty stage play swings into Southampton this week and I headed to Mayflower Theatre for an evening full of laughs and um... other things with my bestest for a Galentine's date.

The Indie Brands to Watch at Birchbox

I've been an avid Birchbox fan for years, five years now to be exact. I've had a monthly subscription box for that entire time and as I've worked with Birchbox for a number of years I also get to see what else the brand has to offer. This has opened my eyes to so many products I may not have come across otherwise which is why I hope you love this post because if there's one thing to pay attention to when it comes to beauty brands, it's the independents and being able to buy them all at Birchbox makes shopping them even easier for you.

The Mavala Legend Collection

Lipsticks are my jam and have been for as long as I can remember. Watching my mum apply her hot pink Christian Dior lipstick when I was a young girl is up there with some of my fondest memories growing up and it's definitely had an influence on the way I view and buy my own makeup and lipsticks now. I'm a matte finish gal through and through but I do occasionally go over to the creamier side of things if the formula is right.

Mavala is a brand I've used on my nails for years, their top coat is hands down the best one I've ever tried but I only recently discovered a whole world of other products, including the Mavala Legend Collection featuring six gorgeous shades.

Stronger Communities with Aviva Community Fund

*Paid partnership with Aviva Community Fund*

Supporting schemes that help enrich our local community is something that's close to my heart and it is a real privilege to be able to support this year’s Aviva Community Fund. The Aviva Community Fund is a brilliant initiative which helps build stronger and more resilient communities across the United Kingdom. It helps fund a variety of groups offering funding from up to £1,000 to £25,000; this can make such a huge difference to those in desperate need of some help.
