My love for It Cosmetics legendary CC Cream is well known and it's a product that completely turned my beauty world upside down for the better, I would buy it again and again. The thing I love about it the most is that you can wear it on its own, wear it as a base for a full makeup look or even go semi natural with just the cream and a slick of mascara. This product knows no bounds and with the original Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream stealing my heart, the matte version was sure to be a hit too.
There are now three versions of the best selling CC Cream including the original, Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 (£30.00) and the Your Skin But Better CC+ Illumination SPF 50+ although the only one I am yet to try is the illumination version. I've loved the original and matte tubes so I'm sure I'll love a little glow too, it seems there is a tube for every mood!
I adore the original but it always left me a little more oily looking than I would've liked so I always had to go in with a finishing powder mid-afternoon and no one's got time for that so when I heard there was a matte version I was brimming over with joy.
You know how much I like a matte finish so I was all ears with my makeup brush at the ready.
I use the shade fair in both the original and matte, I love that I can get a shade light enough in the cc cream without having to worry about spending £30 to potentially look orange, my biggest fear when it comes to buying bases online when I can't get to a counter.
The formula is the same as the original so coverage is still good plus you can build on it to get your desired finish. I find one pump is enough for me to give a natural looking finish but I have been know to use that little bit extra for an evening out. The cream blends beautifully into skin, I find application is best when using the Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush (£35.00) as the product can feel quite think and using this brush helps me blend the product into my skin like a dream.
I actually ran out of the original when I got my hands on the matte version so I switched straight over and I haven't looked back, I'm definitely a matte girl. The finish is better suited for me, I'm not as oily looking and it lasts with next to no shine.
Gone are my powder days thanks to one simple switch.
That doesn't mean I dislike the original, I just prefer the matte finish. I love that It Cosmetics have different variations of one fab product. Everyone's skin is so different, there isn't a one size fits all and having this choice makes finding the right one for you so much easier.
It Cosmetics have a forever fan in me, not only for the CC Cream but also their mascara and concealer, which by the way if you haven't tried then you really, really must!
Oily skinned sisters.... We've found our match.
