I am thoroughly in the throws of Autumn, think chai tea lattes, crunchy leaves and berry lips so it was about time I knocked out the most cliche blog post ever and shared with you my top three shades from MAC Cosmetics for Autumn. Since discovering my love of makeup, I've branched away from MAC in recent years and found so many other brands I love but there are three shades that I'll always go back to as they scream Autumn to me.
(Sin, Diva & Rebel)
Sin
If you like dark, statement lips then Sin is for you. I ummed and ahhed over this for a while but finally snapped it up through the Back 2 MAC programme so in a roundabout way it was technically free. Ha. It is probably one of the darkest shades I own and I am always asked what it is when I'm wearing it, sign of a good lipstick I think. Sin is a deep, dark blue red and comes in their matte formula, which is what I tend to buy all their lipsticks in as the staying power is incredible. I usually wear this alongside the MAC Cosmetics lip liner in Nightmoth for the perfect pout. If you want to be daring then try out Sin next time you find yourself at the counter.
Diva
This needs no introduction, it's one of their best known shades and rightly so, it's beautiful. Dark, seductive and the quickest way to vamp up any make up look! Diva leaves an intense reddish-burgundy shade to lips, this is also in the matte formula meaning the staying power is fabulous. Sin and Diva are very similar but there is a subtle difference in shades which you can see if the swatches above, if Sin is a step too dark for you then Diva is the one for you.
Rebel
This has been a blogger fave for longer than I can remember and I was so happy when I finally purchased it myself. Rebel is a gorgeous, plummy shade that suits so many skin tones which is one of the reasons it is so loved. It comes in their satin formula which has a semi-matte finish. For me, it was love at first application, dark and a little daunting in the bullet, Rebel leaves a gorgeous, dark raspberry pink on the lips, perfect for day or night.
