We celebrated my baby shower at the end of July with my nearest and dearest and I had such an incredible day. My mum and sister did Pinterest proud with fun decorations, plenty of gypsophila and a sweetie table so I thought I'd share some photos from the day.
My baby shower was held at my parents house, I said I didn't want too much fuss and for it to just be like a party buffet with friends and family. Think sausage rolls, cocktail sausages and chocolate fingers. The theme was rubber ducks, I love ducks and both Arran and I had duck soft toys when we were babies so it seemed fitting, especially as we've bought one for Splodge too! We had planned for Hook a Duck in the garden but the weather was awful all day so the marque and duck game didn't get much use, unfortunately.
My cake was made at Love Cake Bakery which I've used previously for blog event cupcakes and they created what we wanted perfectly. Mum just showed them an image and we got exactly that, although I really didn't want to cut into it. We headed to Homesense for all the sweetie jars, drink dispensers, plates and napkins. We had Pimms in one drink dispenser and Elderflower in the other, who knew I'd miss Pimms so much this summer?! There were also some cocktail shakers from Funkin Cocktails to try.
We spent the afternoon catching up, chatting and eating before some baby shower games. We played Pass the Parcel which I had filled full of beauty treats for everyone followed by Pin the Sperm on the Egg which I won, clearly I'm now a pro. After the cutting of the cake *sob*, it was time for the shower to come to an end. I'd had such a lovely day, we were gifted so many lovely presents and baby boy has been well and truly spoilt. Now it's just the countdown until he is here!
