Eye shadows have been my jam for a very long time, I think they were my first makeup love and my palettes are getting way out of hand. The reason I love them so much is because the possibilities are endless and you can create so many different looks with the flick of a brush. Matte shadows are my firm favourite but what do you think I thought of Pixi's Fairy Dust Favourites?
I received the Fairy Dust stack in Metallic Warmth way back in December so I've managed to get a good amount of use out of them. The Fairy Dust Favourites come in five individual but stackable pots, unfortunately they don't have individual lids so you can't just grab one pot and go but the entire stack is small enough to fit inside the tiniest of make up bags.
Each shade is made up of loose eyeshadow pigments which create a beautifully enhanced and radiant finish to eyes. The stack ranges from a soft, pinkish hue to a deep sparkly black. I think the black shade is really out of place and not needed in this stack at all. It even looks a little peculiar with the other swatches, a dark brown shade would've suited so much better.
The pale champagne pink, pretty coppers and dusky red all work really well together and I've created some of my favourite eye looks with them. The shimmer effect leaves a soft glow and as they're enriched with Mica, they have a sense colour pay off. You get a stunning eye look that catches the light and stands the test of a good night out too.
Apart from my little gripe on the irrelevant shade, I LOVE this product. Using my Spectrum Collection eye brushes I dip my brush in the shade I'm using, tap the excess off into the lip and then pat on to my eye lid. As they're from Pixi's Christmas Collection, stock is limited but a quick Google showed them in stock on Beauty Bay, Cult Beauty & Look Fantastic. You may even get them at sale price now too!
