As much as I love a high-end purchase I do like a bargain so this week on Annie Writes Beauty I thought I'd share five of my favourites from some drugstore brands. Today I'm sharing a few favourites from Sleek Makeup which is available online, Superdrug and Boots. All of Sleek Makeup's products come in black, matte packaging and prices start from £1.99.
Solstice Highlighting Palette £9.99
This is the highlighting palette everyone has been wanting to get their hands on and rightly so, it is stunning! Released a year ago, the palette comprises of one cream, one shimmer and two baked highlighters in gold, mirrored packaging. Each of the shades are soft and luxurious giving a beautiful illuminating look to skin. Designed for all skin tones and for use on the body, you'd be crazy not to pick this up.
i-Divine Palette in A New Day £7.99
Sleek eyeshadow palettes are a much loved steal in the beauty world. When Urban Decay is just a little too out of your price range, Sleek have you covered with numerous palettes to satisfy all tastes. One I reach for a lot is A New Day, a mix of neutral mattes and shimmers. The shades have great pigmentation for the price although do have some fall out so make sure you tap the brush you're using before applying. For £7.99 I really can't fault this and I have quite the collection building.
Sweet Cheeks Gel Cheek Stamp in Hullabaloo £5.50
I'm not usually a cheek stamp kinda girl but the Sweet Cheeks range intrigued me. The stamps are a gel formula which I found applied well, blended easier and didn't leave an unsightly stain like some. The pink shade of the three available from the Whimsical Wonderland collection, Hullabaloo is my favourite as it gives the sweetest rosy glow to my cheeks.
Candy Tint Balm in Sherbet £6.49
I always carry multiple lip balms in my bag and this is one of the ones I reach for regularly. Sherbet has a subtle peach tint which gives lips a slight gloss while the added Jojoba oil and vitamins leave my lips soft and moisturised. Sherbet also has a candy sweet scent. The black, matte tube is really slim so it fits in the smallest of handbags and it's great for on the go touch ups.
Lip VIP Lipstick in Private Booth £5.50
I love a nude lip and I don't think I've ever had as many compliments when wearing a lipstick before Private Booth. The Lip VIP lipsticks are a matte formula, super creamy, insanely pigmented and if anyone asks for cheap lipstick recommendations you can put money on it that I'll shout about this range. Each of the lipsticks contain moisturising properties so when you've taken your favourite shade off after a long day, your lips still feel pretty fabulous. They're not dry, flakey or sore. They also last the longest time for a £5 lipstick.
