As a beauty blogger I try and use a lot of different products but there are always some that I will go back to. I have a few products I wouldn't be without including skincare and bath products but today's post is about five beauty products and one fragrance that stay firmly in my heart and have done for a number of years. Each product I've repurchased a number of times because in my eyes, they're staples in my routine and for someone like me who buys so many beauty products, I think that says a lot.
I've been using the UD setting sprays for a few years now and Chill is the one I'm currently using as I was gifted it in a goody bag at an Urban Decay event. I've always bought All Nighter in the past but as the weather is warming up a little, Chill is the one I've been reaching for. It helps keep my makeup in place and thanks to the temperature control technology it contains, it chills the surface of your makeup helping it stay put without setting in creases or lines. The Urban Decay setting sprays are the only ones I've tried that set my makeup perfectly and if you're looking for a change from MAC Fix+, this is the one to try.
Daisy was one of the first Marc Jacob fragrances I tried. I have almost every perfume he's released but as soon as Spring hits, it's Daisy I reach for on a daily basis. This is my third bottle and the 100ml is the perfect size for me as I wear it so much. Daisy is beautifully fresh with notes of strawberry, violet leaves, jasmine and vanilla infusion. If you don't usually like sweet scents then I urge you to have a sniff next time you're in Boots as sweet fragrances aren't my thing but Daisy is and always will be my favourite.
I'm an avid fan of high coverage foundations, even though I really don't need to wear them. I've been through bottles of Studio Fix as it's as good as everyone says it is. I'm as pale as they come but the shade range for this is incredible so the majority of skintones would match perfectly with Studio Fix. The liquid, silicone based foundation is pretty buildable and contains a SPF15, not always great for photos but it does leave your makeup looking flawless all night long so swings and roundabouts. My skin does need to be well moisturised to use it but the end result is 100% worth any skin prep. I just wish it came with a pump. You can buy them separately but I feel like a pump should come as standard.
Lemonaid is one of those products from Benefit you don't really hear much about but it's one of my favourites and I always have a little pot to hand. Lemonaid is a warm, yellow correcting cream which also works as a primer on eyelids. The yellow helps hide any redness or discolouration and is vital for my makeup after a night out. Easily blendable with fingers, I just pat some on around my eye area before continuing with concealer and eye makeup. It's a small round compact which also comes with a little mirror inside, perfect for on the go.
False Lash Effect is my lash true love, it's that incredible. I bought my first tube during its big launch and I couldn't even tell you what number tube I'm on now. The wand is plastic with thin bristles that lift and separate every single lash, giving beautifully thick lashes without needing to glue fakes on. The liquid lash formula coats every lash so the lift lasts for hours without smudging or flaking. I've also tried Clump Defy and Velvet Volume but prefer the original.
I've spoke of my love for Naked so many times, it was a spur of the moment buy when I'd left the nude I'd applied at home and instead of grabbing a cheap one from Boots I bought Naked from Urban Decay and immediately fell in love with it. The Revolution lipsticks from UD are super pigmented, creamy and last for hours, they've fast become my favourite lipstick brand with Naked taking the top spot for my perfect nude. If you're yet to try their lipsticks, you're seriously missing out, they've over taken my love for MAC Cosmetics lipsticks.
