Lush Cosmetics Kinky Hot Oil Treatment

At the Lush Southampton blog event I went to recently we were given pretty awesome goody bags and inside mine I found Kinky Hot Oil Treatment. At the event, Lucy talked a few of us through how to use them and I'd already decided I was going to buy one when pay day hit my account so I was really happy to find this in the goody bag.

Kinky is designed for curly hair, giving your curls a hydration boost while leaving them super silky. I don't have curly hair but my right side does kink outwards so I thought I'd give it a go and see what happened. After sticking the kettle on and mixing Kinky with hot water in a glass, I let it melt and thicken up before combing it through my hair. I should of used just half of this as my hair is quite short now but I did the whole block and slathered my hair in it. I ran a bath and while having a soak with the Yoga bath bomb, I let it do its magic.

Kinky thickened in my hair and I panicked thinking I'd used far too much and it would be a nightmare to wash out but I needn't of worried. It washed out really well and after it was all out I just shampooed my hair as usual and put it up in a towel. I rarely blow dry my hair so I let it dry naturally. Kinky left my hair nourished, smooth and my usual kink was surprisingly non kinky. It also smelt gorgeous thanks to the Ylang Ylang and Rosewood. The hot oil treatments are definitely going to become my monthly hair treats, for £6.50 each they're so worth it especially as you could get two treatments out of one. I'm going to be picking up Damaged next!

Have you tried the Lush hot oil treatments yet? What were your thoughts?
