A few weeks ago my lovely boyfriend whisked me off to Brighton for a day to ourselves to have a wander around and explore. I'd never been there before and had wanted too for such a long time, I was like an excitable child in the morning. It took just under two hours to get to Brighton from Southampton and after filling up on Pain au Chocolats and Cappucinos on the train we were ready for the day ahead.
We headed straight to Brighton's famous lanes, spending a few hours walking around, exploring the cute shops, mesmirising at the chocolate creations in Choccywoccydoodah and eating yummy cupcakes in Angel Cupcakes. We went to JB's American Diner for lunch where the food was fabulous, the staff were friendly, the interior was exactly how I'd expect a 50's diner to look and rock 'n' roll was playing in the background. It was so busy in there I couldn't take half as many photos as I would of liked too.
The sun was shining all day, perfect weather for sitting on the beach with an ice cream and looking out to sea. After buying the compulsory fridge magnet and stick of rock we wandered back into the lanes for cocktails under the brightly coloured bunting and clear blue skies. I adored Brighton and didn't want to leave. We're already planning to go down again next month as there's still so much to see.
If anyone has any suggestions on what to do in Brighton or where to go.. please let me know!
