Collection Volumising Mascara

I wanted a cheap mascara to try and found this in the Collection stand at Boots. It cost just £2.99 and I picked it up in the colour Ultra Black. I swap and change mascaras so often I didn't want to spend too much on a new one, and I usually chuck mine out every four months anyway. Read on to see what I thought.

Collection formally known as Collection 2000 is a make up brand that I have used for many years. I have used their pencil eyeliner for what feels like forever too and haven't found one that beats it so far. Plus their prices are so reasonable that if I don't like something I don't feel as bad for wasting my money.

Now back to the mascara. This comes in a bright orange tube the same shape as Maxfactor's False Lash Effect. It's safe to say you won't lose this in your make up bag!

The wand on this is pretty big and easily coats each lash. It also separates my lashes really well and leaves no clumps. I do have a few peeves about this mascara. The wand is so big I can't do my corners or bottom lashes very well, it also smudges a under my lower lash line after a few hours.

You need quite a few coats of this to get anywhere near the 10x volume this promises but it does make make my lashes look fuller. This doesn't do much for lengthening so I wouldn't recommend you buy this if that is what you're are looking for. For under £3 I don't know what else I was expecting, it does do the job, just not as well as promised.

What is your favourite mascara to use? I'd love some recommendations!
