I am a big fan of Maxfactor mascara and have used their 'False Lash Effect' since it hit the shelves so when this appeared on offer for £4.99 back in October I snapped one up straight away. It comes in an 11ml tube and is described as being able to instantly blacken and plump up the look of every lash thanks to its fearless amplifier brush.
I first used this mascara for a full day at work to see how it lasted and I was so disappointed with the product. It's a thick consistency and doesn't seem to have a 'scraper' just inside the tube to take off the excess. It coated my lashes into clumps and made them look like little spider legs. And it left little smudgy marks under my eyes making me look like a Panda by early afternoon. There was also no 3x times more volume as promised and neither did my lashes look sweeped out.
The wand is an hour glass shape which is meant to help coat each lash easier thus adding more volume to the lower lashes and then building them up. I didn't get on very well with the wand and I personally prefer a wand with little fibre points that space out my lashes.
Overall I was pretty gutted this did not live up to what it was meant to and will not be repurchasing this Mascara. Oh Maxfactor, what happened?!
